What we collect and why

Visiting a page

When your browser loads a page, the company that hosts the site receives the technical details every browser sends: your IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for, the page you came from and the time. We use them to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix errors, which is our legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Server logs are kept only as long as needed for that.

Images and test-session videos are served from our storage at Cloudflare, which receives the same technical details to deliver the files. Fonts are served from this site, so no font provider sees your visit.

Free demos

Free demos are switched off in some countries. To decide, our hosting network tells the site which country your IP address belongs to. We use that for the one request and don't store it.

A demo is loaded only when you press Play. It comes from the game studio through the SlotsLaunch demo service, inside a frame on our page. From then on the studio's servers receive your IP address and browser details, and the game may set its own cookies or storage. That processing is the studio's and SlotsLaunch's responsibility under their own privacy policies, not ours.

Cookies and storage in your browser

Necessary items are stored because the site needs them or because the law requires us to remember your cookie choice. Everything else is stored only with your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you give or refuse in the cookie dialog and can change at any time. Withdrawing deletes what that category stored.

Google Analytics

If you allow statistics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google's gtag.js) to see how the site is used: pages viewed, demos started, the type of device and browser, and an approximate location such as the country or city. Google Analytics 4 doesn't log or store IP addresses. The reports we see don't identify you.

Without your consent, no analytics cookies are set. Google's tags may still send cookieless signals without identifiers (Consent Mode), which Google uses for aggregated modelling. Event data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account, at most 14 months. Google acts as our processor and may handle data in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Search

Search suggestions are worked out in your browser. On the search results page your search words become part of the page address, so they reach the host's logs like any other address.

Who receives data

  • Our hosting provider and Cloudflare, to deliver the site and its files.
  • Google, for analytics, only with your consent.
  • The game studio and SlotsLaunch, only when you start a demo.

We never sell personal data, and we don't share it for advertising.

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU and EEA. Where they do, the transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy,
  • correct data that is wrong,
  • delete your data, or limit how we use it,
  • stop using data we process on the basis of our legitimate interest (you can object),
  • hand over data you gave us in a machine-readable format.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time with . Withdrawing doesn't affect what happened before. We answer within one month.

If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to a data protection authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work.

Children

Slotsaw is for adults (18+). We don't knowingly collect data from children. The demos ask you to confirm your age before they start.
